Subconscious-Lee collects Lee Konitz's early Prestige sessions recorded in New York between 1949 and 1950, featuring pianist Lennie Tristano. The recordings capture the cool jazz approach both musicians developed together during that period. This is a 1968 UK reissue on XTRA (5049), a budget imprint of Transatlantic Records that made jazz widely accessible in Britain.
