Lee Morgan and Hank Mobley recorded these sessions in Hackensack, New Jersey across two dates in November 1956, originally released on Blue Note as separate LPs. This 2004 Lone Hill Jazz reissue compiles both sessions onto one CD, bringing together all eleven tracks including "Hank's Shout", "Thad's Blues", and "Nostalgia" -- early hard bop featuring Morgan at nineteen years old.
