Lee Morgan's The Rumproller was recorded in 1965 and originally issued on Blue Note (BST 84199). This 1986 US reissue features the full quintet session with Joe Henderson on tenor -- one of the sharpest working units in mid-60s hard bop. The title track runs over ten minutes and showcases Morgan's direct, punchy trumpet style. Produced by Alfred Lion.
