Lee Morgan's The Sixth Sense compiles two Van Gelder Studio sessions from November 1967 and September 1968, originally produced by Duke Pearson and Francis Wolff. Tracks 1--6 were first issued as BST 84335; tracks 7--9 appear here for the first time. This 1999 EU reissue, produced by Michael Cuscuna, sits in Morgan's late-period hard bop and modal work, with the title track and Afreaka among the longer, more exploratory cuts.
