Lee Morgan's Volume 2: Sextet was recorded in December 1956 at Van Gelder Studio and originally issued on Blue Note in 1957. This 2007 remastered CD reissue, produced by Michael Cuscuna, captures the trumpeter leading a sextet through six hard bop cuts, including Benny Golson's "Whisper Not." Morgan was 18 at the time of recording.
