Lee Morgan Volume 3 was recorded in March 1957 at Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, and originally issued as Blue Note BLP 1557. This 2007 remastered CD reissue, produced by Michael Cuscuna, adds the alternate take of "Tip-Toeing" first released on the 1987 CD edition. Benny Golson arranged the session and plays tenor throughout. His elegy "I Remember Clifford" -- written for Clifford Brown -- is a highlight.
