Leon "Chu" Berry was a tenor saxophonist from the swing era, widely regarded alongside Coleman Hawkins as a key voice on the instrument before his death in 1941. This 1965 Fontana UK mono compilation draws from late 1930s sessions, featuring the celebrated "Body and Soul" and tracks cut with Cab Calloway's band. Catalogue number TL 5263.
