Blues In My Bottle was originally recorded in Houston at ACA Studios and released in 1961 on Prestige Bluesville, produced by Kenneth S. Goldstein and Mack McCormick. This is the 1984 US reissue on Original Blues Classics (OBC-506). The set captures Hopkins in unaccompanied form, with standout cuts including "DC-7", "Death Bells", and "Catfish Blues".
