Product Review:
US Original Monarch pressing. EX/EX condition. Stereo sticker on sleeve but mono press.

Lightnin' Strikes is a 1965 blues album by Texas guitarist Lightnin' Hopkins, issued on Vee-Jay Records. This copy is a Monarch pressing, identifiable by the encircled "MR" stamp in the runouts, on Vee-Jay's rainbow colorband bracket labels. Recorded in mono, the set includes "Mary Lou" and "Heavy Snow." Hopkins was a direct influence on British blues guitarists of the same era.

What's in the box?

  • Your tunes

  • pro-cleaned

  • with a new inner sleeve

  • and a new outer sleeve

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
