US 1st Mono Pressing. Black/silver Chess labels have spindle marks but otherwise clean. Visually media is G+ but plays VG with a little noise at times. Actually sounds superb still! Sleeve intact with no tears but wear and ageing visible to the rear and edges.
First Chess compilation of Little Walter, the Chicago blues harmonica player whose recordings defined the instrument's electric sound. Released 1957 on Chess LP-1428, this is a first pressing on the black/silver Chess label. Includes "Juke" -- a #1 R&B hit in 1952 -- alongside "My Babe" and "Blues With A Feeling", all recorded for Chess between 1952 and 1955.
