Locksmith was a funk and soul outfit produced by drummer Harvey Mason, best known for his session work with Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters. "Unlock The Funk" was released on Arista in 1980 as a UK 12" single (ARIST 12364), backed with "Far Beyond" and "Blackjack". Mason co-produced with Kenny Mason, bringing a tight, percussion-driven groove to all three cuts.
