Lowrell Simon's "Mellow Mellow Right On" was a 1979 Chicago soul slow jam, produced by Eugene Record of The Chi-Lites and Bruce Hawes. This UK 12" on AVI Records runs four versions across both sides -- vocal and instrumental on each -- giving DJs plenty to work with. The track was later sampled widely in hip-hop. Issued here in an unbranded Pye Records sleeve.
