Luther Ingram's 1986 self-titled LP on Profile Records was his comeback after a decade away from recording. Best known for "(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Wanna Be Right," Ingram returned here with a set of mid-80s soul produced partly by Muscle Shoals veterans Roger Hawkins and Jimmy Johnson. "Rain, Rain, Rain (Stormy Weather)" updates the Lena Horne standard, and "Gotta Serve Somebody" covers Bob Dylan.
