Cosmos is a 1976 double LP on Blue Note compiling two previously unreleased McCoy Tyner sessions, produced by Duke Pearson and recorded in Englewood Cliffs between 1968 and 1970. The eight originals span modal piano trio workouts and larger ensemble pieces, with the 13-minute Forbidden Land and 14-minute Hope showing the full range of Tyner's post-Coltrane quartet writing.
