1971 repress Liberty labels. Van Gelder stamp. Lovely copy. Sleeve has tape on all sides not too noticeable. Ringwear. No writing or tears. Original inner. Promo sticker on front.

Expansions was recorded in August 1968 and released on Blue Note in 1969, produced by Duke Pearson. This is a Liberty/UA West Coast pressing (BST 84338). Tyner leads an extended lineup including Woody Shaw and Gary Bartz across five modal compositions, with side one's two tracks running over ten minutes each. Pharoah Sanders appears on "Peresina", pushing the record toward free jazz territory.
