Song For My Lady is a 1973 studio album by pianist McCoy Tyner, released on Milestone Records (MSP 9044) and produced by Orrin Keepnews. Recorded at Mercury Sound Studios, New York in September and November 1972, it features Tyner's working band in extended modal performances. This is an original US pressing with red Milestone labels. The 12-minute opener "Native Song" and the 11-minute closer "Essence" showcase the album's spacious, large-ensemble approach.
