Memphis Slim's Live At The Hot Club energetic live piano blues from a major postwar stylist.
Live at the Hot Club captures Memphis Slim -- born Peter Chatman in Memphis, 1915 -- performing solo piano and vocals, recorded live in Switzerland. Released in 1990 on Milan Records (CD CH 346), this Swiss pressing features 17 tracks including his signature "44 Blues", "How Long Blues", and a version of "Cow Cow Boogie". Slim relocated to Paris in 1962 and remained a major live draw in Europe until his death in 1988.
