Memphis Slim cut these piano blues sides for King Records in the late 1940s, capturing the Memphis-born Chicago bluesman at his most direct -- rolling boogies, slow blues, and spirituals including "Sometimes I Feel Like (A Motherless Child)". This is a 1976 King reissue compiling those early recordings. King catalogue numbers KS-1082 and K-1082 both appear across the release.
