The Prison is a solo album by Michael Nesmith, originally released in 1974 as a multimedia "book with a soundtrack" concept. Recorded in Los Angeles in September 1974, this 2008 Edsel remaster substantially reworks the original -- instrumental overdubs are added throughout and the drum machine elements largely removed. Nesmith wrote and produced the entire record.
