Electric Mud was recorded at Ter Mar Studios, Chicago in May 1968 and released on Chess. Produced by Marshall Chess, Gene Barge, and Charles Stepney, who also arranged the sessions, it recast Muddy Waters through psychedelic rock textures. The Rolling Stones covered "I Just Want To Make Love To You" and "Mannish Boy". This is a 1997 remastered European CD reissue on Chess/MCA.
