Papa Levi, the South London MC known for the 1985 UK chart hit "Mi God Mi King", released Back To Basics in 1994 on Mad Professor's Ariwa label. Produced and mixed by Mad Professor, the set pairs dancehall vocals with dub counterparts -- "Rasta Dub" and "Blackout Dub" among them. A late-career recording that keeps Levi in Rastafari lyrical territory alongside the Ariwa studio sound.
