Song X is a collaborative album by guitarist Pat Metheny and free jazz pioneer Ornette Coleman, recorded live at The Power Station, NYC in December 1985 and released on Geffen in 1986. This is a German pressing. The album features Coleman's distinctive harmolodic theory applied across eight tracks, with Metheny's electric and acoustic playing pushing well outside his usual territory.
