Basra is the debut album by drummer Pete La Roca, recorded at Van Gelder Studio in May 1965 and originally released on Blue Note (BST 84205). This 2005 EU remastered reissue, produced by Michael Cuscuna, transfers the original session at 24-bit resolution. The post-bop modal set features Joe Henderson on tenor and Steve Swallow on bass, with La Roca's own compositions alongside readings of "Lazy Afternoon" and "Malagueña."

What's in the box?

  • Your tunes

  • pro-cleaned

  • with a new inner sleeve

  • and a new outer sleeve

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
