Black Am I is a 1979 Jamaican 7" single by deejays Peter Ranking and General Lucky, produced by Don Mais and released on his Roots Tradition imprint. The A-side is a roots reggae declaration of Black pride, backed by the dub version. Don Mais was active across several Jamaican labels during this era, and original Roots Tradition pressings are seldom encountered outside Jamaica.
