Positive Force were a New Jersey disco-boogie group whose 1979 single We Got The Funk became a dancefloor hit on Sugarhill Records. Co-produced by Sylvia Robinson, this UK pressing on SHL 102 carries the Pye Records Group imprint and is identifiable by its Side 1/Side 2 label layout and Made In England text. The A-side 7-minute re-edit runs at 114 BPM. Widely sampled in hip-hop.
