Written by Prince in 1984 and first recorded by his side project The Family, "Nothing Compares 2 U" became a global hit for Sinéad O'Connor in 1990. This 2018 NPG/Warner release is Prince's own 1984 studio recording, recorded at his Flying Cloud Drive warehouse in Eden Prairie, MN, issued officially for the first time as a limited edition 7" single with both an edit and full-length version.
