Ray Agee was a Los Angeles-based R&B and blues vocalist active in the 1950s and 60s, recording for small West Coast labels. This 1985 Swedish compilation on Mr R&B Records collects 18 mono sides, including "Somebody Messed Up" and "Soul Of A Man." Mr R&B was known for reissuing obscure American R&B for European collectors, making releases like this a key way the music reached new audiences.
