Recorded in 1956 and released in 1961 on Atlantic, The Genius After Hours captures Ray Charles in a small-group jazz setting, separate from his R&B work of the same period. The eight-track set features his trio and guests including Hank Crawford. Highlights include readings of Fats Waller's "Ain't Misbehavin'" and Gershwin's "The Man I Love". This is the 2001 European reissue on Warner Jazz/Atlantic.
