From the Maxi Jazz Collection. Rebel MC's Junglist on Desire Records -- 1992, just as jungle was separating from hardcore. Rebel MC was one of the first MCs to make the jump. A clear marker of where the music was heading.

Rebel MC's "Junglist" originated in 1992 as a foundational UK jungle track. This 2004 repress on his own Congo Natty label pairs the original mix with a DJ Zinc remix. The original is built around Barrington Levy's "Under Mi Sensi" and helped establish the jungle sound in the UK. DJ Zinc strips it back to a harder, faster take.
