From the Maxi Jazz Collection. Rebel MC's Roughneck Sound / Rastaman -- mid-period 12" bridging UK hip-hop and nascent jungle. Colin Wolfe and Rebel MC were working in a transitional space.

Rebel MC -- aka Congo Natty -- releases this 2005 double A-side on his own Congo Natty imprint, revisiting the jungle and drum n bass sound he helped shape in the early 90s. "Roughneck Sound" drives hard with ragga vocals over heavy breakbeats, while "Rastaman" leans into roots reggae influences over a rolling DnB framework. A solid later-period Congo Natty 12".
