Robert Johnson recorded all 41 surviving sides between 1936 and 1937 in San Antonio and Dallas. This Columbia Roots N' Blues 2xCD compiles every known take, including alternate versions of "Cross Road Blues," "Love In Vain," and "Terraplane Blues." Originally issued in 1990, this is a later Austrian pressing. "Sweet Home Chicago" and "Love In Vain" have been covered extensively, including by the Rolling Stones.
