Super Arhoolie release in top condition. Sleeve EX.

Field recordings made at Angola State Penitentiary, Louisiana in 1959 by Arhoolie founder Chris Strachwitz, capturing Robert Pete Williams, Hogman Maxey, and Guitar Welch. Williams went on to wider recognition in the blues revival; this set catches him and his fellow inmates raw and unrecorded. A 1980s Arhoolie reissue, reissued again in 2011, produced by Strachwitz.
