Recorded at Angola State Penitentiary, Louisiana in 1959 and collected by folklorist Dr. Harry Oster and Richard B. Allen, this LP captures Robert Pete Williams, Hogman Maxey, and Guitar Welch performing blues in captivity. Released on Collector Records in 1960, this is an original UK pressing. Highlights include Williams' "Electric Chair Blues" and the traditional "Stagolee."

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.
Re-sleeving
We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
