Rodney Franklin's "The Groove" is a 1980 UK 12" single on CBS, taken from his debut LP You'll Never Know. Produced by Paul Buckmaster, the track built its reputation on dancefloors through Franklin's electric piano lead and a locked jazz-funk groove. The title track later became one of the most recognised samples in UK garage, appearing on Craig David and Artful Dodger's "Re-Rewind."
