Ronnie Laws -- saxophonist and younger brother of flautist Hubert Laws -- released All Day Rhythm in 1987 on Columbia, self-produced alongside Wayne Henderson of The Jazz Crusaders. It sits in the smoother, radio-friendly direction Laws had moved toward through the mid-80s, with jazz-funk cuts like Smoke House and Nite Life alongside the gentle groove of the title track.
