Roy Ayers' 1987 LP on CBS, produced by Ayers alongside David Metcen. A late-period jazz-funk and soul set recorded as crack cocaine's impact on Black American communities was peaking -- "Crack Attack" addresses that directly. The title track and "I Once Had Your Love" lean into smooth soul territory, while "Blue Summer" keeps the vibraphone-led jazz-funk feel Ayers built his name on.
