Roy Gaines is a Texas guitarist who worked alongside Ray Charles before establishing himself as a solo blues and R&B artist. Gainelining was recorded at Underhill Studios, London, in October 1980 and released on Red Lightnin' in 1981, featuring Barry Finnerty and Keith Jones. Highlights include "Lowdown And Funky" and a version of "Okie Dokie Stomp." UK original pressing on RL0035.
