Promise is the second studio album by Sade, released in 1985 on Portrait Records. Recorded at Power Plant Willesden and Studio M, it features the UK/US hit "The Sweetest Taboo" alongside the slow-burning "Is It A Crime." This is a US repress on Portrait (FR 40263), identifiable by the "G1" etched in the runouts -- one of two known repress variants.
