Shakatak's 1983 UK 12" on Polydor, produced by Nigel Wright. "Dark Is The Night" runs as an extended version on the A-side, backed by a remix of "I Lose Myself." Written by keyboardist Bill Sharpe and drummer Roger Odell, the release captures the London jazz-funk outfit at the height of their commercial run, shortly after their top-ten UK hit "Night Birds."
