Shannon's "Let The Music Play" was released in 1983 on Emergency Records, produced by Chris Barbosa, Mark Liggett, and Rod Hui. One of the earliest records to use the Roland TR-808 as a lead rhythmic element in a pop context, it helped establish the freestyle sound in New York. This Canadian Unidisc reissue pairs the remix with the original and instrumental on the B-side.
