Product Review:
Skip James Today! — the haunting, otherworldly Delta bluesman's celebrated 1960s comeback recordings.

Skip James Today! was recorded in 1965 for Vanguard following James's rediscovery at the Newport Folk Festival, capturing his return after three decades away from recording. This 1988 UK pressing on Vanguard (VMCD 7310) collects twelve tracks of Delta and piano blues. Cream covered "I'm So Glad" the following year, and Cypress Grove Blues became a reference point for the genre.

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
