Slim Harpo -- born James Moore -- was a Louisiana blues guitarist and harmonica player whose Excello recordings became foundational to swamp blues. This 1970 UK Blue Horizon compilation draws from those Excello sessions, with sleeve notes from Melody Maker. It includes "Baby, Scratch My Back" and "I'm A King Bee" -- the latter covered by the Rolling Stones -- alongside "Shake Your Hips", later covered by the Stones on Exile on Main St.
