Slim Smith was one of rocksteady's finest vocalists, recording for Bunny Lee throughout the late 1960s before his death in 1973. Just A Dream is a 1972 Trojan compilation (TBL 186) drawing together his strongest cuts, including Gypsy Woman and the title track. Covers include Sam Cooke's Send Me Some Loving. A solid posthumous collection from one of the era's most distinctive voices.
