Texas bluesman Smokey Hogg recorded prolifically for small labels throughout the late 1940s and 1950s, drawing on a raw, Delta-rooted style. This 1964 UK pressing on Realm/Oriole collects twelve tracks including the title cut and "Let's Go Back To The Country." One of the earlier British compilations bringing postwar American blues to UK audiences.
