Japanese industrial synth-pop trio Soft Ballet split in 1995, and this double-CD self-titled comp on Victor's XEO Invitation imprint doubles as a farewell -- pulling key cuts across their catalogue alongside newly rerecorded and remixed versions. "America" and "Vietnam" hit hard, and the reworked "Body To Body" shows how far they'd pushed the EBM template. A solid entry point into one of Japan's stranger electronic acts.
