Freedom Suite is a 1958 album by Sonny Rollins, recorded at WOR Studios in New York with Oscar Pettiford and Max Roach. The 19-minute title track was one of the earliest extended jazz compositions to address racial politics directly. This is a 1983 Original Jazz Classics reissue (OJC-067) on Fantasy, pressing against the original Riverside catalogue number RLP-258. The B-side features four standard interpretations.
