Saxophone Colossus, recorded June 1956 and originally released on Prestige, features Rollins alongside Tommy Flanagan, Doug Watkins, and Max Roach. This is the 1964 UK mono pressing on Stateside (SL 10164). St. Thomas and Blue Seven are among Rollins' most studied compositions. Moritat -- his reading of the Kurt Weill standard -- runs over ten minutes.
