Sonny Stitt was a bebop alto and tenor saxophonist whose fluid lines drew direct comparisons to Charlie Parker. This 1994 UK Galaxy compilation pulls six tracks showcasing his smaller group work, including "Sonny's Blues" and a reading of Miles Davis's "Four." Galaxy (catalogue 3886252) was a budget reissue imprint, making this a solid way to access Stitt's playing at low cost.
