Recorded over two days in March 1963, Getz/Gilberto brought together American tenor saxophonist Stan Getz and Brazilian guitarist João Gilberto, produced by Creed Taylor. It introduced bossa nova to a mainstream audience, with "The Girl From Ipanema" -- sung by Astrud Gilberto -- becoming one of the most recognised songs in jazz. This is a 1970s UK Verve repress (2317 009).
