Stanley Clarke's self-titled debut, released in 1974 on Nemperor, established him as a leading voice in jazz-funk and fusion. Lopsy Lu and Life Suite showcase his ability to move between electric slap bass and acoustic work within the same record. This is the UK pressing on Nemperor K 50101, produced by Lenny White.
